“My chickens don't like having a put Their head that far deep into the bucket to get the feed. Therefore it is not used by my chickens. I found a different model that I like better than also does not waste feed.”
“I have been using this feeder for a few months.. I‚Äôm giving it 3 stars it‚Äôs a great idea but I‚Äôm still feeding the neighborhood! I put it in a coop with 6 ..3 month Old chicks! It‚Äôs easy to learn but only 2 can eat at a time. My plan was to hang it so I can raise it at night and lower it in the morning but the handle needs to be stronger, after you fill the bucket it‚Äôs hard to carry with the flimsy handle. I use grandpas feeders but for the smaller flocks I decided to try this bucket feeder.. I do like it but the mice, rats, squirrels and any thing else can eat all my food! This will work great if you don‚Äôt have wild life! For me this didn‚Äôt work! I do recommend this product if you don‚Äôt have a wildlife problem!”
“The chicks learned how to eat out of it quick- what I love about it is they can‚Äôt scratch all their food everywhere. It minimizes waste and is less of an attraction for pests.”
“I was disappointed in the fact that my chickens continue to waste feed out of this bucket feeder too. I even tried setting it up on a block to be shoulder height to my chickens - just like the directions said. But all the chicken feed continues to be pulled out and lays thickly in the dirt all around the feeder. Definitely not worth the money spent on this feeder if your goal is to control the wasting of the chicken feed.”
