“This is my favorite chicken breed and every one I have gotten from my pet chickens ends up looking really good with nice white beards and fluffy feet.”
The Salmon Faverolles are such beautiful birds! Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful photos with us. My Pet Chicken is proud of the quality our birds and we are thrilled that you agree!
“I ordered 4 day old chicks which arrived healthy and with sweet dispositions which seem to get sweeter by the day. One happened to be a gorgeous Salmon Favorelle. She is aloof in the most adorable of ways and she is beautiful, friendly and calm.”
“I love my baby chick! She’s so sweet. At first she was one of the most shy, and would chirp a lot. She always would talk loudly when picked up and still tends to be my loudest chick, but the more I’ve had her she’s came out of her shell as she sees her sisters getting loving pets she wants some too! Now I’m able to pet her belly and she’ll run up to me with the others. All chicks have their different personalities she just needed more time. I can’t wait to see her grow !”
Thank you for sharing your heartwarming experience with your sweet Salmon Faverolles! It’s wonderful to hear how she’s blossomed with a little encouragement and love. Chickens truly do have their unique personalities, and it sounds like she’s on her way to becoming a cherished part of your flock!
“No problems with sickness or failure to thrive as chicks. Healthy & Hardy. One of my faverolles is my most confident hen. The other one less so. One thing I will warn was I got these guys because someone told me they were a "quieter chicken breed"- not so! About as loud as easter eggers I've had before. Would go with Wyandottes as my consistently quietest breed thus far if you're in an urban setting. Brahma roosters I've had were also a bit quieter than the Faverolles hens now that they're laying.”
Alex, thank you for sharing your experience! It’s wonderful to hear that your Salmon Faverolles are thriving and that one has grown into such a confident hen. Chickens truly do have unique personalities (and vocalizations!), and it sounds like yours are no exception!
We appreciate the insight! It's always good to know what to expect, especially in urban settings. While yours might not be the quietest, their charm and character often make up for it! Thank you again for your review, and we wish you many happy years with your flock.
