“I added this chick late to an order on a whim and man am I happy I did. She has so much personality. Don’t tell her sisters but she’s one of my favorites.”
Shhhhhh! We won't say a word! The Faverolles is one of the most popular chicken breeds not only for their beauty but as you have discovered, their wonderful personalities! We are so happy we were able to add her to your order and wish you many years of happiness with her and the rest of the flock!
“My 6 girls and 1 male arrived 1 day after shipped to NH. I tracked them all the way and actually called my post office and made them aware to call me as soon as they arrived. I called the PO when I tracked them very close to arrival and to my surprise the postal worker said listen! It was my chicks peeping on the phone "they just arrived". In 15 mins I had them in their brooder with electrolytes on arrival and heat plate warm. Brand new coop built just for them ( also have a coop for my other hens and tweens I hatched. They are affectionate and comical. Love hard boiled eggs smushed up and when they see "THE PINK BOWL" they run from the run to the coup door for that treat. Will breed them in time and share the love. They are amazing and grow so fast now at 6 weeks old. Perfect colors, five fluffy toes, muffs on their cheeks. Male is dark and very smart loves to be petted as do all of them. Packaged very well in a small box marked loudly " Live chicks" handle with care. Had Marek's vaccine and I do not free range they have fruit treats of all kinds and really want for nothing. Thank you MPC.”
“If I could give the chick 100 stars I would, but sadly we’ve experienced some bad luck with our own Salmon Faverolles. We ordered 16 different chicks and while all arrived alive, the Faverolles did seem to be a bit off. Visually fine, eating and drinking along with everyone else but with much less enthusiasm. She also slept or rested around the brooder plate much more often than her adoptive siblings. I never observed any bullying (and even have a baby cam in the brooder room) and also saw she looked and felt ver clean/ normal after passing so I believe it was just a case of failure to thrive. All other chicks are doing well so far. (Shipped 5/20, Arrived 5/22/24)
I did more research on the breed and found that SF chicks do tend to be more fragile so that is something to consider / be prepared for if you are set on this breed.
She was very cute while she was with us though, and last night when I last saw her and said goodnight to everyone she was so fluffy and yellow. When I found she had left us early this AM, I found she had grown faintly speckled wing feathers overnight. I’m sure she would have been absolutely beautiful. I’m sorry for the bad news.
We named her Sweet Briar and buried her this morning.”

“Really great experience. Customer care called the day of shipping and answered any questions. Chicks came healthy and were packaged well - I was pleasantly surprised that they arrived with a heating block to protect from chilling. Pro tip is to sign up for the USPS updates. I was able to see where they were in travel and pick up immediately after being scanned into our local post office - before the call notification. And for the Faverolles, all are displaying the girl white feathers so far. Very happy - thank you!”
