“Ordered 2 of those babies 6 months ago. They are so sweet and funny . Started laying beautiful large blue eggs last week! Born august 23 exactly 6 months later they are laying daily . So happy With all my purchases from my pet chicken !”
“Our Super Blue, Ariel, is one of the friendliest chickens we have ever owned. Our current flock, of many varieties, is very friendly and Ariel stands out as the friendliest. Often, Ariel flies up on my shoulder and sits there as I walk around visiting the other chickens. She is a good egg layer, too.”
“Hedwig is a beautiful fluffy pure white chicken (she doesn't the black flecks that the description says) with the best personality. She does a funny little chicken dance whenever I come over, and loves to be pet and (sometimes) held. She has had many health problems, though. When she first came in the mail, she was lively, but just a few hours later, she was sluggish and cold, and wouldn't eat. She survived, but due only to my consistent force-feeding of Pedialite and egg yolks. She thrived after that, but lay strange eggs, even one with a membrane around a fully formed egg. Hedwig had a prolapse a couple months ago. We had to give her medication every 2 hours, and keep her isolated in the house. The prolapse eventually went away, but no more eggs for us. She's a great chicken, and I have no doubt the others are more healthy. Would definitely recommend.”
“April 2021 we got 2 SBEL, they were the cutest and strongest chicks out of the 6 we got. Very curious and sweet. Now it‚Äôs October 2021 one we named precious (pure white) and the other Dot (has some splash). Precious lives up to her name she is my favorite and is the sweetest. She follows me around and talks to me. We live her”
“My only regret is that I only purchased one. My super blue is now 3 months old and is outstandingly large and beautiful (nearly solid white). She is also the friendliest of my flock of 35. Our evening routine: I place my hand behind her legs, she first steps on my hand, then relaxes her body to lay on my hand, and I lift her to eye level. We begin 'talking' to each other; she chirps happily as I talk to her. She is unlike any chicken that I have ever known! If her eggs are blue, that will be a bonus. Regardless, her personality and beauty have placed her at the top of the flock. Thank you for breeding this wonderful bird!!”
“We are so excited to add to our French Black Copper Marans flock!
All of those worried about bossy hens, the solution is a Marans Roo! (Or another more docile breed)
We have a few Easter egger hens that were very aggressive and bossy. Pulling off feathers and setting up the pecking order.
We got a Marans Roo, and they all calmed down.
I find more Broody breeds do better with a Roo to give them a reason to go broody.
Best of luck with your flocks!! We are so excited to add our blues and greens in a few weeks!”
“My chicks are currently 3 weeks old and so full of personality. They will jump right into your hand and fall asleep. They are so attentive so their surroundings and seem incredibly intelligent. They come running when I call them and they don‚Äôt get scared of people unlike chickens I‚Äôve had in the past.”
“The chicks are so sweet and healthy and all have adorable muffs and beards. They‚Äôre about a week old now and they‚Äôre much more inquisitive and social than even my day old silkies and silkie eggs I hatched from breeders. They come running up to your hand and fall asleep either leaning on your hand or in your hand. I will update my review as they age.”
