“I have two Super Blue pullets, hatched mid April of this year. One turned out to be the one in 16 that doesn‚Äôt lay blue eggs - she has a big floppy comb, is flighty and insanely fast and lays nice light brown eggs. She is shy of me, but friendly and curious and has always been the dominant one in this years newcomer group of three. She quickly climbed up the pecking order after introduction into the flock of 12 older chickens. The other Super Blue is pure white and gorgeous, slight, with cheek puffs, and lays beautiful blue eggs, one every single day since her first one. She is sweet, calm and friendly and the only chicken I have that enjoys being petted. I adore her. I can highly recommend these. Thanks MPC!”
“We have 3 super blues. One has a single comb BUT she lays blue eggs. We were so ecstatic. I would love to attach some photos if that was possible to show you all our pretty girl and he beautiful blue eggs.”
“Blueberry is a year old now and has been laying beautiful light blue eggs. Eggs are large and almost round. We get 6 eggs a week from her that are always clean and pretty. She loves to beg for treats and is friendly. Wish I had ordered more!”
“We got our Super Blue Layer last summer and she started to lay right at the 6m mark. Candy is a great layer - 6 a week. The eggs are a pale blue. very pretty”
“Although ours lays white, it was noted that it is a chance. However, let me tell you. She lays every day. Rain or shine, blizzard or not. Every single day we get an egg. Friendly enough, not the most personable but never aggressive and always ready for treats.”
“I got her June 25 with some other breeds. Theory said they would start to lay egg in 6 months. Well, I was expecting Christmas' present not under my tree but inside their egg's box. Nothing, and I think the cold of winter may the cause. I was read the review of this breed not that great. so she wasn't the one who I expected to have the first egg. 1/4/19, I got surprise. A pale greenish egg in the box! I immediately know it was from her. I have my flock with different eggs' color. After that day, she never forget to lay one for me. The last 2 day, her eggs getting more to bluish shade than greenish. Before she lays egg, she a bit skittish and love to fly. Now, she looks calm and docile. My others not start laying their first egg yet, even they were the greatest egg layer by the review. I'm pretty happy with Daisy, my super blue.”
“I've been looking at this breed a while and ordered 1. She is so sweet and brave. And she just started laying. Giant. Blue. Gorgeous. Eggs. I want a whole flock. Love these birds!”
“I have 3 SBEL hens who recently started laying. All of their eggs are the same very light shade of blue. Most people think they're white. They're very flighty. I keep them with my black copper marans and the SBEL's are the only ones to ever get out of the pen and they do so daily. They are very smart though because they know how to get right back in when I feed them. They run up to me and follow me as I walk out to feed them, but they never let me touch them. The eggs are smaller than my black coppers, but not tiny. I would say they're a medium sized egg. They are very frequent layers as I usually get 3 blue eggs per day.”
