“The CS came through. Worked with the manufacturer. They shipped me a new door that has a piece on the bottom to close the gap.
Wish the manufacturer had figured this out before. But the CS of this site is awesome. Got my replacement part within a week of raising the issue.
Good for them!”
“The coop came together fast and easy. One person, 30 min. Large and sturdy. Relatively light but still has a good weight to it.
Unfortunately, huge flaw. I bought without the stand. That was a separate option. Made my own from the stones. Unfortunately, the place where the ladder attaches, is wide open. About 2.5 x 10 inch gap between the door and the floor of the coop,
Called CS. Very responsive, but not helpful. Told me it should not be there according to the manufacturer, But it is. Send the a picture, but cannot attach it here. No such options.
Basically, as is it is useless. Should have said you cannot buy without the stand and ladder.”
“Easy to assemble. Easy to open and clean. Sturdy but not too heavy. One person can put together in 30 min. Comes in a huge box, but only a few parts to assemble.
Had an issue with the gap below the door, as I did not purchase the stand with the ladder. but the CS was great. Dealt with the manufacturer and within about 10 days I received a replacement part which solved the issue.
Would definitely recommend, especially based on the quality of customer service. Some of the best I have seen. Good for them!”
“I loved this coop at first. It's pretty, clean-looking, and spacious for my 4 girls. But when I got it, I immediately knew I'd be having to put some work into it. I don't like how the perches sit - you MUST have the food/water containers AND the nesting boxes in order to set up both roosts. The roosts were also very raw and splintery and had to be sanded down before I could use them. They're also a bit too thick for my Bantam's tiny, tiny feet. There are many sharp edges on the plastic as well (especially on the 'ramp', which sits at a terrible angle for them to walk up on!), which could be a reason why my girls just don't want to use the nesting boxes. And you can't remove the food/water boxes or the nesting boxes from the roof panels - they're just too big and awkward! And having to essentially disassemble the whole blamed thing in order to clean it is just something I can't do. My girls only stay in it for as long as they need to, and they pop out like jackrabbits from a bush when I open it in the morning. They hate it, I hate it, and if I could return it, I would.”
“We bought the version of this coup with the run and tractor. First, the instructions for the coop, tractor, and run are anything but easy to follow. Second, the end where the wheels go digs down into the grass and soil causing a build-up of debris when pushed and creates a ton of extra resistance when pushing it. The unit can't be pulled due to the location of the handles as well as the direction of the ladder which doesn't fold up. It can only be pushed. We haven't had ours for 8 months yet and the handles for pushing it have broken off not once, but twice, already. The materials are very poor quality resulting in multiple screws breaking. Stay away from this one.”
“Issues when assembling‚Ķfound that the latches were backwards and the screws for the bottom of the door were too short. Also‚ĶNOT easy to clean at all. I am 5‚Äô4‚Äù tall and I have to use a 2‚Äô tall step stool to even reach the roof to open it. Then, I have to lean WAY in to reach the trays to pull them out. It is VERY difficult to do. NOT the easy clean that is described. It needs to have a door in the back where one can just sweep out the bed into a wheelbarrow or pull out drawer for easy cleaning. I have regrets about buying it.”
“This coop has got some glitches, after 4 months, but overall has been a very nice asset to the chicken ranch. The door into the chicken yard is already not staying propped open, due to plastic stopper that slips. The hardware, hinges/latches, are low end and tops to nesting box and feeder boxes simply do not open or close without falling apart.”
