“Works well. The chicks like it and the screw legs are easier to adjust than the kind where you have to pull a tab. Also, as the chicks grow, I put their water on top to keep it out of the way scratched pine shavings and make it a few degrees warmer.”
“I ordered 7 Buff Brahma chicks. 5 pullets and 2 cockerels. All of the chicks were in great shape and ready to eat and drink as soon as I put them in the brooder. Placed a second order already because of the way the first chicks came”
“The EcoGlow Safety 600 is made well. I like thattthe legs can be at different heights, front and back, as it allows the chicks to find the area they are most comfortable.”
“The heater worked great with no issues. I believe this is a much better alternative to infrared bulbs because of the localized heat which purportedly encourages feathering. My chicks feathered out enough by 4 weeks to move them into their outdoor coop. This is a small heater but worked well enough for my eight Wyandotte chicks. The overall construction is quite flimsy for $60, especially the very cheap plastic legs, but I had no problems.”
