“My Welsummer chick arrived healthy, alert and ready to take on the world in April of 2026. She has been a favorite of mine since she arrived, as she is friendly, outgoing, good to the other 3 girls who arrived along with her, and she has always been very attached to me. This week she began laying gorgeous deep terracotta colored eggs with speckling. She has laid 3 eggs in less than 7 days! I’m so proud of her and I couldn’t possibly love her more! She’s a beautiful lady who deserves more than 5 stars! Thank you so very much to mypetchicken who has been there for me through it all. I highly recommend this breed, and I highly recommend this excellent company, who also deserves more than 5 stars!!!”

“Welsummer is my favorite breed of chicken, bar none. Love them! So I was happy to say that of the four breeds I ordered from My Pet Chicken, these were the most successful chicks to thrive. The Exchequer Leghorns were very poor quality and the Easter Eggers were a mixed bag to say the least, but the Welsummer chicks are thriving at 16 weeks, even in Arizona summer. I will be anxiously awaiting their eggs and hoping they are true to form with a rich or terracotta brown and speckles. If they are, this order of Welcummer baby chicks will have been a complete success.”
