“As above, I ordered 4 pullets and all arrived alive and well. Will have to wait to see if all four turn out to be pullets, I realize vent sexting is not 100% accurate. They are the dark brown/brown with white stripes”
“Ruby the Welsummer was one of my friendliest chickens. She arrived healthy as a day old chick. As an adolescent she was very personable and would jump up on my shoulder or head whenever I went out to the chicken yard. She developed a significant limp because one of her legs turned in at an unusual angle. The limp got better after a couple months of heavily supplementing vitamins but her leg never was normal. MyPetChicken customer service never responded to my emailed concern about the Welsummer breeding stock.”
Hello Lavonne, Thank you for reaching out and we are incredibly sorry for the missed email! I was able to find it after you alerted us. We do care very much about the breeding of our birds and are surprised to hear that you have had issues with your Welsummer. That breed is typically very robust, so we can only assume that this was an anomaly and she either suffered an injury or developed a vitamin deficiency. So glad to hear that she showed improvement with some treatment. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance and we do apologize again for missing your first message.
