“I ordered 6 chicks total for my second order from MPC. My first order was perfect! All 4 girls are laying and beautiful. In my second order, 3 chicks were mine, and 3 were my cousin's. Out of my 3 chicks, 2 were roosters when I ordered all hens. Sadly, the wheaten chick was one of the 2 roos. Despite some very early leg weakness, he is a large chick and very calm. He's also very friendly. Being a dimorphic breed, I was able to tell quite early on by his feather coloring that she was a he. I was able to re-home both boys together. I have since placed a third order hoping this time for correct sexing just like my first order.
If you're looking for a calm, friendly, large rooster though, French Wheaten Marans may be a good fit for you!”
