“Received my little Sultan, along with 3 other birds, in mid-June. I've heard the Sultans can be a bit delicate, but mine is thriving. All 4 birds arrived in good shape. We're at 4 weeks now and everybody is healthy and happy. I ordered from My Pet Chicken when I first started with chickens, about 8 years ago. 2 orders back then were also healthy. I still have 2 birds from my first order running around. They also successfully sexed all of my bantams with 100% accuracy. Great company, great customer service, and nice birds.”
“We love our two beautiful, sweet white Sultans. We get about 3 medium sized white eggs a week from each hen. They are not too smart and not very high on the pecking order,but their sweetness and beauty trumps brains.”
“My Sultan, and every other bird I've ever received from MPC has arrived alive, healthy and beautiful, and sexed properly. I live in the hot Phoenix, AZ area and have had birds shipped in July and August without issues. This particular bird was hatched 7/4/17 I named her Liberty. She is now 12 weeks old and is just as sweet as can be and is a great representation of a white sultan.”
“Not sure why the reviewer "Elena E." decided to give the White Sultans a 1-star review. She should have had an adult handle the shipping. She should have overnighted (one-day shipping) the package if she was not willing to gamble. She had chicks die in transit. That happens. You are shipping tiny chicks (at their weakest period in their lives) across the country. Grow up.
Anyhow, I'll give you my experience:
Of the White Sultans I ordered, one perished within 36 hours of arrival. They might be weaker than other breeds. Other people should share their experience. My White Sultan, Charlie, was the nicest little fella. She liked to be held. She never complained or caused any disturbance. My experience has been OUTSTANDING. The White Sultan is exactly what it is supposed to be, a nice, ornamental bird. I wish that they had not been sold out for my last order! AAARRRRGH! 5/5 bird!”
“Very heart breaking... I will never order chicks in the Summer again.
MyPetChicken did refund us, call us, send us a gift and genuinely felt bad, but ultimately the chicks did not arrive safe. All 8 babies had a very short life 2 of which were Sultans.
They have great customer service and will take care of you is this happens but I unfortunately have to give a 1 star due to what happened.”
