These babies are so cute when they are little and it can be difficult to tell the genders until they get a few months older. Often flock keepers may rely upon the size of the comb but this is not always the best way as they will go through their "awkward" stages, just like us :-) We have a great article on the Frequently Asked Questions section of the website on how to tell juvenile males from females - a hint is their hackle and saddle feathers!
