“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BREED - specifically the My Pet Chicken White Leghorns!! I previously had a white leghorn, which I ordered only because I never had a chicken that laid white eggs. Her name was Lilly the Leghorn and she was my absolute favorite chicken! So sweet and incredibly curious and lovable! An AMAZING layer too! I was convinced there had to be another chicken laying white eggs because she was laying so frequently! She was unfortunately killed by a hawk this past March and I was so very sad! I have lost chickens before, but losing her hit me the hardest. I was not planning on getting chicks this year, but I decided to order more White Leghorns in hopes I would get another one with a similar personality.. so I order 3 to increase my odds.. and turns out, ALL 3 are curious, cuddly and absolutely the best! I currently have 12 baby chicks and my 3 white leghorns are by far my favorite!! They are almost 4 weeks old and every time they see me - they pace back and forth trying to get out of the brooder to come sit with me. If I put my hand in their brooder, one jumps on my hand and crawls up my arm to sit on my shoulder - every time without fail!! The other 2 are equally sweet and love to be held. I cannot wait to see how they are when they get older! I read previous reviews about how white leghorns are known for being flighty and not very personable/friendly and the My Pet Chicken leghorns are an exception - and from my experience, I can say this is accurate! My Pet Chicken leghorns are my all time favorite chicken and I have had MANY different breeds!! Have never owned white leghorns from another chicken breeder, but do not plan on it after how lovely the MPC White Leghorns are! Do yourself a favor and get white leghorns if you are looking for sweet, curious and friendly chickens who are fantastic egg layers!”

“While we have had dozens of White Leghorns over the years, the ones we got from My Pet Chicken have been our favorite. Overall, the breed have been lovely. Some are very friendly (the ones from My Pet Chicken specifically), all have been egg laying machines, & all have been amazing foragers.”
