We have to agree the Pop-Up Brooder is such a game changer when it comes to raising chicks - and for other purposes as well! Many have used it for raising other animal babies too. It is so very easy to "pop-up", is durable, easy to clean and put away until it is needed again - it really is a great investment! “This is a great brooder for chickens and young waterfowl. It’s great quality and having a cover that zips to protect them is great. It kept two black snakes that got into my garage away from my chicks:. It works well for young ducks and geese, but as the geese get older, they will tear it up. I
just ordered a second one for my shipment of bantams coming in a couple weeks. The previous one has fallen victim to my last set of geese lol!”

“I absolutely love this Hen Pen Pop-up Brooder! We’ve been raising chickens for over ten years. The last several years we have been buying six week chicks or pullets to avoid the cardboard brooder box and red bulb experience. When I saw a picture of this brooder I got excited about raising baby chicks again! I am truly enjoying these chicks so much more now. I like that the panels are solid on the bottom to prevent drafts, also making them feel more secure. I like that the upper part of the panels are mesh so that I can see them, and they can see me. The mesh zippered top is great for when they begin to fly. With the cardboard brooder, I had to use a window screen to keep them from flying out. I really like the color, and also that it’s easy to wipe clean. The fact that it folds up for storage and basically takes up no space sold me on this. I also purchased the Farmight Brooder Heater Plate. Both of these are award winners to me. I am just loving this! Thank You!”

“I will admit I was skeptical at first. Mama of a special needs kiddo where balance and control are things we are working on. Things need to be secure and easy for me to move/manage in our house. The ease of use was surprising but most of all I could not believe the actual structure of the brooder. Its very strong and does not just collapse with a little weight. The bottom is very thick and washes with such ease. The zipper top makes it easy to stop those early flyers (we all at least 1 per clutch lol). Then it folds up to store. Cant get better than that! This picky mama gives it her approval!”

“I love this thing so much that I took my first one down to my parent's when they wanted to add new chicks to their flock a few months ago, then I really missed having chicks and ended up ordering some of my own but I didn't have my pop up back yet, so I ordered a second one. These things are amazing, the size is huge when compared to those flimsy cheap things on amazon that are a quarter the size. I fit 8 week old pullets in my last one, and plan to use both in the future to take birds to farm swap meets. The ability to fold them up and tuck them away when not in use is amazing. I will never go back to those big clunky plastic tubs again!”

“This is a fantastic brooder, if you’re on the fence about it please give it a try! In addition to raising chicks, it makes a wonderful little enclosure for a broody mama hen and a few chicks if you should ever need to partially or fully separate them from flockmates for a little while, as well as a good safe environment for a sick or segregated hen or two.
It is a breeze to set up and easy to clean and sanitize which is a must. It is safe to use with a brooder plate and quite breathable, while still minimizing dust in the area (very nice if you’re brooding inside the house as I am!) but my favorite feature of this brooder is the additional little door on the side. Top access is great, but with the addition of the little door I can sit or lay down and bond well with my chicks! Getting down on their level without forcing interactions allows me to really build trust and get to know each and every chick better.
While it is much more secure than other tent brooders out there, it is of course not dog or predator proof so use your best judgement / common sense and store it in a safe location + don’t leave unsupervised with young children or pets.
It really is a worthy investment because it can be reused and repurposed so. I’m very glad I grabbed one when I did! I love it!”
