Built in fan to circulate air which activates periodically .
We had a problem with this fridge . The thermostat is factory set on medium and once this fridge had been running the temperature would not get below 7 oC.
Optimum for a domestic fridge is 3.5 - 6.0
oC . We used two digital thermometers to check the temperature and I just do not understand why Hotpoint and other fridge manufacturers don’t build in the temperature gauge .
You can alter the digital settings for temperature inside but there’s no dial
And it’s a simple electronic setting High - high/medium medium medium/low low … so not a great deal of choice in setting the temperature accurately .
We noticed the temperature inside the fridge rises rapidly when the door is opened .
It has an auto defrost facility .”
