“I bought a size down from normal and they fit fine over outdoor gear. These are very well-constructed chaps made from very tough material and they will keep you completely dry, the only snag is that they are difficult to walk in. I have previously had chaps made from wax cotton and Goretex so I have the experience to make a comparison. These are very stiff and make walking uphill unpleasant. Ideal for standing still or beating on the flat through kale but not for hills or anything involving bending your legs. I'm hoping that they will wear in a bit over time. Try them up and down the stairs before you take the tickets off!”
“Good quality chaps that did the job expected of them. Bought usual waist size and found that they fitted well enough over jeans. Worn for beating in on a wet day and remained dry. Supplied belt a good addition to these chaps but elasticated waist felt strange at first.”
“I have only worn them once but do like the protection they afford to wind and rain and feel hard of wearing. Just the job for beating. Possibly a bit warm in mild weather. They might be better with belt loops as they do have a low waist line. I like them.”
