Apart from being too big the material of the coat is not good and cheapen the overall look.

I did wonder if the length of it would make me look daft. (5'2 @ 11stone). It appears not. It is good enough, keeps rain & wind out, room Inside for air so no sweating. A bit difficult to press poppers to connect hat up in the rain. It does come to the larger of sizes so if in doubt I'd order smaller

Great waterproof coat COUPLED with excellent quality and a very reasonable price. No more wet knees in wet weather and very COMFORTABLE. i ordered a large which is ample and allows room to wear a GILET underneath.

It is only recently that I have discovered New Forest Clothing - an established family-run business based in Wiltshire - and what a gem of a find it is! With its huge range of quality outdoor clothing and accessories, a most friendly and efficient service, and prices to suit all pockets from large to small, the company deserves every accolade. One of my first purchases has been the Champion Highgrove full-length waterproof coat for £29.95. This is a beautifully made coat in polyester with a lovely detachable hood and body lining in a poly/cotton lining (the sleeves appear to be polyester lined). It is most comfortable to wear. The two-way zip was initially hard to get started until I applied a wee spray of WD40. The coat has two external pockets with a smaller inside pocket suitable for a mobile phone. The coat comes with an adjustable back vent (Velcro fastening) and I was pleased to find it came with two leg straps (again with Velcro fastening) for use either when riding (sadly I cannot claim even to ride seaside donkeys these days!), or when walking in very windy conditions. Strangely, the leg straps were NOT mentioned in the coat's specification. Many man-made fibres are NOT breathable and in the past I have found that similar coats often encourage internal condensation - which then defeats the purpose of having a waterproof outer! I am hoping that this lovely coat will be less susceptible to internal condensation with its under-arm ventilation holes and the body lining of 35% cotton/65% polyester. I have yet to try the coat out in heavy rain (I must be the only person praying for rain in the current hot spell!), but for its high quality and most reasonable price this coat deserves a full 5-star rating.

For a very tall man it was hard to find a waterproof coat but this fits the bill (and him)
