“I've had a pair of these trousers for years (lost count of how many !). However, my old pair had eventually started to come apart at the seams (literally). I've had such good service from my original pair (used regularly when out for an exercise walks) I've purchased the same again. Pros : Ligtweight, but not cold in typical winter weather. Very comfortable. Reasonably showerproof (not actually waterproof). Dry easily when wet. Waist size as per label. Good value. Cons: For trousers my normal size purchase is a 29" inside leg (I'd prefer 30" but not commonly available). These Wenlock trousers (size: short) measure up at 29" from crotch seam to ankle, but the trouser cut in the torso is deeper than I've encountered generally (more comfortable than being cut too tight, even if a bit 'Simon Cowel !) consequently I have to shorten the Wenlocks by just over an inch to get an appropriate fit, othewise the 'concertina' on my shoes is excessive.Dispte this shortcoming (or should that be 'longcoming') I still feel they are worthy of five *s, as I've never found a more suitable product (just purchased another well known brand (beginning with 'C') and they were so baggy, like a clown's trousers on me, I had to return them for a refund !).”
