“Bought this coat from NFC website after trying on a 2xl in a shop I bought the 3xl for more room and it allows me to layer up underneath.
Recently wore it out beating on a shoot and it kept me warm and dry. Pockets are plenty deep enough.
NFC delivered the coat the next day in a nice paper parcel which was nice to see no plastic packaging. 5 year warranty on the coat what is there not to like”

“I bought this after consulting with NFC to replace an aging (like 30 years old) Deerhunter that has done me brilliant service in all sorts of weather. This new one just doesn't match it for warmth sadly. First inklings came when getting chilly shoulders during rain, so much so that I though the jacket was leaking. It wasn't. This was in mildish autumn weather. As it got colder though, I have had to layer up so much itt's ridiculous, SIX layers underneath (including two merino wool base layers and a thick fleece shell usually worn as an outlayer) and even then the cold has still crept in. On my last trip, I ditched the Deerhunter and wore my Next Parka instead and was lovely and toasty - that was an extreme day though. What concerns is how much I am having to layer on not so extreme days, and the lack of response from NFC when I've emailed them about this. There are things I do like about though - the length is great, and the pockets generous.”
