Deerhunter Muflon Jacket Art Green / S Reviews

Firstly, I have to mention my experience with this company: First class. Delivery time was exceptional. The garment speaks for itself in that it was even better than described on the site. Only moan I have is that the sleeves are a tad too long. Other than that, a first class garment.

So chuffed with this jacket as I needed a breathable and waterproof replacement for the one that shrunk on a cold wash {as per instructions} after 2 and a bit years. {From a different company, they gave us half the money back.} This is a proper, warm jacket, not just a shell, with a lovely warm hood. Two zips up the front. Two inside zip pockets. Outside there are two bid pockets at the bottom, but with side hand pockets behind them, which is great because my beloved hated me putting my hands down into the pockets of the old jacket. On each side, there's not one but two zip pockets on each breast. And I've just found another one on one side on the shoulder. I normally have so many things, I get everything mixed up. But with wallet and keys in the inside zip pockets, and the big outside pockets for things you need all the time like phone, eCig and masks, that still leaves 4 good sized and one smaller for battery pack and USB lead, and for eCig liquid bottles and spare coils. I'll have more pockets than I need for the first time in history. One of those side zip pockets has a thing bit of glasses cleaner on a curly lead. Both sleeves have hand warmers - bits of material that come out with a thumb hole. I've checked they fit, but it not being winter, I don't know how much difference they'll make. I mean, my hands will be in my warm pockets, not holding a shotgun trying to murder innocent animals. But given there were times last winter I wish I'd had gloves, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do. Would be great for cyclists etc. And the hood has toggles so you can pull it tight if it's really cold or a gale's blowing. All in all, seems perfect so far. And it has a 5 year guarantee, so if this one shrinks like the last from the different label and different supplier, I'm covered. A quid a week fr a perfect jacket for five years. Though after last time, I'll prob dry clean no matter what the label says. The sleeves are better than my previous one. These are padded. So for short walks to the offie, even when it's cold, you can just put it on over a tee-shirt and be warm and comfortable. Breathability seems good - that's the main thing for me. It's pricey if you're poor at 300, but you get what you pay for. And this seems good value even taking that into account. As I say, I can wear this every day for 5 years, whether walking round town, up the Himalayas or at a festival, and as long as I dry clean it once a year, I'll have a great looking jacket for a quid a week. Highly recommended. Basically if: 1. You want one of these "shooting style" jackets 2. You want a warm winter one, a proper jacket, not a shell 3. You can afford 300 quid Then you might as well buy this one. Doubt you'll find better, esp not breathable and waterproof. I also bought a shell one, that was down from £170 to £80 that's great for when it's not freezing. And that had a detachable hood, which gave you the best of both worlds. It looks smarter without the hood. This one, the hood has a zip at the back, but at both sides, there's this really quality-looking secure attachment made of metal so you can't take it off. Why it has the zip, God alone knows. But this one looks fine with the hood down. Because it's heavier, more padded, it hangs better. And it's so warm - no need for a wooden hat cluttering up one pocket this winter. Oh, and the inside of the collar is fleece which feels nice. Came in two days. And because I was sending one of the first two back, when I rang up they said with XX on the return label and you won't have to pay the return for that one. That return got back quickly and the money was in my account a day or two after it arrived at theirs. Oh, and the fit. Before I'd just bought medium or large. This one you had to measure your chest. My wife wasn't sure whether it meant now or with warm winter clothes on. We googled and it said measure bear chest. We did. It fits perfectly. Only a Himalayan tailor could have cut it more exactly to my size. If you can afford it, and want a warm, winter jacket of this sort of style, go for gold. You won't be disappointed.
