“Good quality hat, but the design and sizing is a big downside on this one. Runs small, and the sizing on the website is inaccurate.
Rather than immediately leave a bad review, I reached out to customer service to rectify the issue. Since I'm an overseas customer, they only resolution Few Forest would offer is for me to return the hat at my own cost (fair enough), but then that I'd need to repurchase the larger size and pay another 40 GBP in shipping, which I see as an unreasonable expectation. I refused, and will gift the ill-fitting hat to someone it will fit, and buy the correct size from a competitor company.
Even after my confidential feedback to New Forest, the request to review the product came through, so in the spirit of transparency, overseas buyers need to beware that New Forest may not be willing to help you with an exchange, even if the error is on their end. I requested to speak with management after the service representative communicated that my feedback would be passed on to management, but nobody from New Forest has followed up.”
“Very happy with this hat. It is well made from a good weight of waxed cotton, it's a good fit and my wife says I look raunchy in it (she may have said 'ranchy'). I bought it to wear with my Barbour wax jacket as they don't seem to do a good wide-brimmed hat anymore. Brim is effective at keeping the rain off my face and out of my ears. Love it.”
