“My previous waxed country jacket was a Barbour but worn into the ground. Due to current UK economy I am priced out of Barbour. This waxed jacket from New Forest is actually a very very close match to the Barbour but at about a third of the cost (or more). The material is good and strong with a well waxed coverage. The seams are well sown. The brass zips are equal to those of Barbour. Cord collar is fine, fit is ample (large size). Inner lining is well fitted and of a smoothish tartan, but warm to touch. Nice waterproof material from skirt to about 15cm up, to stop water wicking. A nice touch. Overall a very good find. I'm sure this will last me quite a few years of wild Northumberland weather”
