“Very happy with this jacket, I have been out in some torrential rain and I can confirm it’s fully waterproof. Length is perfect, collar nice and high, fully adjustable hood so it doesn’t drop down over your eyes so you can see where you’re walking. Also the storm cuffs keep the wind from going up your arms”
“Wore on a beating day now over the cold snap. Jacket fits well and being waterproof and wind proof the movement is good, nice material and lining(need a thin fleece for under) high collar to protect face from wind.
Relatively quiet material.”
“This is New Forest Clothing's own brand coat, and is clearly based on the Deerhunter Pro which I also tried. There's lots to like about this coat - the outer fabric, the colour, the cut. Great in heavy rain and keeps the wind out. The collar sits very high when done up - great in bad weather.
BUT there are things i don't like - the higher waterproof rating means a lower breathability, so it can get sweaty on milder winter days - it's not summer coat. Like the Deerhunter it has a stupidly long neoprene cuff- it pushes shirt/jumper cuffs back up your sleeve and soaks up water when it's raining. And like so many shooting coats at the moment it follows the fashion set by Ridgeline/Swaandri et Al with an unnecessarily low scoop at the back.
However, I like this coat enough to keep it and enjoy wearing it. Just a shame I can't give it 5 stars”
“This jacket is amazing, lightweight, agile and looks good in most attire. I have been caught in a mega down poor and was bone dry and warm. Highly recommend for all purposes.”
“This jacket is perfect for purpose. It is fitted but roomy and not constricting at all. When you are walking a couple of mad Jack russels that is important.”
