“I have looked all over for a wax jacket like the one I had years ago, to no avail (and I wasn’t going to pay Barbour prices). Came across New Forest Clothing and found exactly what I wanted. Great price, great quality, and the fit is exactly as the size chart said. It pays to measure one of your existing coats using the guide as per their advice. I did this and the got exactly the fit I wanted. I would recommend these as an extremely good, cost effective alternative to more expensive brands. As far as I can tell there is little difference in quality. I’ll be recommending to friends and family.”

“I ordered a size LARGE ,i am a 40" chest (just checked again ) and this jacket just fits .It looks quite stylish for a wax jacket but wearing only a fleeced lined shirt beneath it there aint much room ... If your going to wear several layers beneath your jacket you may well need to order a larger size . I would return it for an XL but they don,t have any in the wax jackets that i want .
This will do for the not so cold but wet weather , i have an older larger one for the really grotty days . Its not very well padded so you may want the extra layers in which case get a larger size if they have it ,there isn,t a lot sizes on offer at the moment .”

I ordered a XXXL and its about right and not overly big, I am 6'2" 18st with a 52" chest. I wouldnt get many other layers besides a shirt and maybe a thin jumper on under it though.”
