“Quite simply works perfectly as a final waterproof layer. Excellent quality for what it cost. I went for the next size up to allow for fitting over chunky inner layer.”
“A nice coat. Suitable for days when only a shower is possible. Walk the dog with umbrella. Not the dog's umbrella of course. I like the shoulder cape. I'm positive about this coat even if the cotton seems thinner than some of my old waxedcoats, but that would add weight. For my own use I have made some modifications. For example extended the coat so it coveres over the top of wellintons and helps to stop water dripping into them. The metal zip is sometimes difficult, but it looks nice enough, for this coats appearance. I've not changed the zip. (Yet). The poppers are neat, but not very strong in a gale. “As I live in a moorland area I really need a good raincoat. In this place we get rain, gales and snow. Occasionally all at once. You really need a rugged coat.
It fits well, the seams are well stitched and it looks as if it will take a lot of wear. That's just what I need.”
