“I have had this jacket since the beginning of October and its now mid December, so I have had time to put it through its paces.
No matter the weather, I walk on Dartmoor for at least 3 hours a day at least 6 days a week with my pooch.
Over the past 10 weeks this jacket has had to withstand torrential rain, 40-50mph winds and now snow and freezing conditions down to -12C with icy winds, and I can categorically say that it does what its says on the tin!!!
After being let down so many times by many products, I am always a bit dubious of many product quality claims by manufacturers, but any doubts I had about the quality claims of the Ridgeline Monsoon Classic waterproof jacket were totally unfounded!
It is 100% Wind & Waterproof and as long as you are wearing adequate layers under the jacket to match the weather conditions while out and about, it will keep you as warm as toast as it has withstood everything thrown at it so far and the outer fabric is soft to the touch and creates virtually no noticeable sound while on the move and once wet, it dries out very quickly indeed.
Oh yes, its extremely comfortable to-boot.
I can honestly say, it is the best £145 I have spent for quite some time.”
“An extremely well made jacket, exactly as described. Below zero temperatures requires a fleece worn beneath but otherwise warm and dry above zero. Generous sized hood shape somehow keeps rain off the face. Very windproof but breathable fabric makes it great to wear when working up a sweat. Probably one of the best on the market for the price.”
