“I am delighted with this coat. It is extremely well made and a lot of thought has gone into the design.
I can confirm that it is completely waterproof as I have worn it on several dog walks in very heavy rainfall.
I don’t normally get on with hoods but the hood on this coat works extremely well and stays up.
The outer material is an unusual fabric with very soft feel to it. As this is the first new coat I have bought for many years I can see that materials science has obviously moved on a lot.
I especially like the openings behind the front pockets that are a natural position for your hands and I use these more than the traditional hand warming pockets.
The colour is a very dark Lincoln green which I like very much.
I am 5’9” tall and a 45” chest and the XL is a perfect fit with enough room for layering, not that many layers are needed as the coat is very warm with just a t shirt on.
This coat represents extremely good value for money. I bought this coat, 3 Percussion fleeces and 2 beanie hats from New Forest Clothing and the total cost was less than a Barbour coat.
