“I am Garret Krampe from Ultraflex4x4. I design and manufacture "standard" headlights for off road . You know dust, mud, salt water , river crossings etc.
When it is really not feasible to manufacture a light system for a car due to cost , tooling, potential sales, then I use these lights. They are very conformant with the original H4 style light pattern.
The only drawback is difficulty in fitting the "heat braids" , reflector quality, and water proofing the housings.
On Road going cars this is not an issue.
The light output is way above the 2000 lumens limit for LEDs specified in ADR 13/00 6.2.9 but most of the ADRs for headlights are pure rubbish and were due to be updated decades ago.
These days, lights are not tested . just the car, though the old rubbish standards still exist .
These are value for money.
They are equivalent to around 150W halogen EACH with a MUCH better light colour that reduces sleep reaction on long journeys due to the colour temperature being that of around 3PM in summer, Unlike halogen being around 5:30 PM in Summer.”
