Analog Waking Clock Red + Oak Reviews

4.4 Rating 56 Reviews
Contacted "The Company", they wanted to see if they could fix the clock over Google Meet. There being a time difference of 8 hours between us I was a bit taken off guard and asked if we could schedule another time. Never got a reply. That was over 6 months ago. Now I'm stuck here with an overpriced paperweight. Went back to my Phillips clock which still works. First and last time I ever invest in a new invention.

What do you love most about your OneClock? Design, Music, Functionality
I've been using my OneClock for about a week and a half now and so far, have been very happy with the results. The music is pleasing and not jarring so I'm waking up refreshed and ready to get going. It's nice that the music starts playing before the alarm time so I'm more alert by the time I intend on waking up. Aesthetically speaking, this thing is a beauty. They put a lot of thought into how it's going to look on a bedside table. If I had one complaint, it would be a request to have the ability to extend the playtime of the alarm in both directions. Basically, I want to be able to start the music earlier and have it play for longer. Sometimes when I take medicine for sleeping too late in the evening, I have a harder time getting out of bed (not the fault of the clock). So it would be nice to have the music play for longer, rather than risk me outsleeping the music (I think the playtime is 20 minutes?). This could result in the alarm having more controls on it, so maybe it wouldn't fit the aesthetic. Overall, I'm happy I took the plunge!

What do you love most about your OneClock? Music
I'm very surprised by this clock. I was really worried that because the sounds we're so mellow and less abrasive than a conventional alarm clock sound that I would sleep right through it. It's interesting because the sound really subtly invades my dream or just my head as I'm sleeping and then I slowly come out of sleep which is something I've never experienced before. Very cool. I also like that it feels so analog and simple but is still pretty intuitive. There's a ritualistic aspect to it that I also like of setting the alarm each night. I feel we tend to over automate the tasks in our lives so being able to undo that makes for a nice ritual before bed that makes going to sleep and waking up more intentional.

What do you love most about your OneClock? Design, Music, No connectivity
Initially, you think "This is a lot of money for a clock" when deciding whether to purchase it. After you've tried it, you say "This is my favorite thing in my home besides my family." Great design. Great product. Life changing.

Oneclock is the real deal. Thoughtful design, great tunes, fantastic acoustics...my phone is out of the bedroom and I've never woken up so peacefully...consistently...before. Thank you for what you've done

I've had the clock for about a week and haven't had any issues waking up with the alarm. It does seem like a more peaceful experience waking up versus the jarring screeching of my normal alarm clock. My biggest complaint is that there is no AM/PM on the clock. This forces you to remember to set the clock alarm every evening before bed. Otherwise, the alarm goes off every 12 hours. This of course can cause issues if you are one of those people who may lay down and fall asleep earlier than you normally would and forget to set the alarm. This is probably not for those who may go out drinking at night and come home forgetting to set the alarm. My only other complaint is the lack of snooze feature. Not horrible, but it would be nice to double tap the thing in the morning and have it snooze for a set period of time. I get the excuse that snoozing probably isn't good for your wake up routine. However, for us snoozers out there... we probably don't care :-).

One warning before you buy: having to manually enable the alarm every night is a huge downside. You can't do it in the morning, because it's only a 12 hour clock. I didn't think this would be a big deal, but it's proved very easy to forget and I've woken up late on account of this, which is a shame because my goal in the purchase was to have a more consistent sleep schedule. The indicator is incredibly subtle by design, which makes it hard to tell at a glance whether it is on. This said, the clock does what it says on the box. The music is a pleasant and effective way to wake up; I'll often just leave the alarm on in the morning to start the day with some music. There is one track (the voices) out of the seven that can randomly play which I find a little annoying, but the others are great. Note that on nights where I stayed up late due to work and don't get as much sleep, the alarm isn't strong enough to wake me and I need to use my phone. I'm annoyed that the device was sold as an item that required no connectivity, and now the company is going back on that with a music store and an app -- especially because the useful "AI Composer" feature was cut in order to enable this. That said, the product out of the box functions well without using the app (which I can't tell if it even exists yet)
