“fantastic percolator. use on any cook top, not just a camp fire.
follow instructions, easy. To make a great coffee, 1. use beans.
arabica, 2 dessert spoons in a bag, flatten out, use the side of
a tenderiser hammer to just crack the beans into 2-3 pieces,
put in strainer. 2. fill with boiling water to your required level,
pop in strainer, place on low heat near edge, should start
bubbling in 2-7 seconds. 3. let bubble for 5-6 minutes, turn off
heat, leave to slowly stop bubbling, another 5-6 minutes. 4. Take
off heat, pour, AND ENJOY.
Best percolator I've come across. Only had 2 problems, the glass
seeing knob comes loose easily (broken both knobs, fell off) So be
careful clearing unit, do it on the sink/ground, hold knob when
lifting lid, I think the strainer holes could be a teeny bit smaller so
ground coffee stays in strainer. But what the hell a bit of grit in
the teeth, I'm enjoying great coffee. Just have to get some new
