The Birdsville 1400 is an innovative hybrid roof top tent, part of OZtrail's exclusive overlander range evolving out of 30 years of Australian shelter development to make adventure easier and more comfortable. Combining the best of hard shell and soft shell roof top tents, the Birdsville 1400 is lightweight and compact, with the added functionality of an aluminium pack top with included roof bars for extra roof top cargo. The extended fly over the entry makes it easy to access in bad weather, so you and your tent stay dry. Constructed from heavy duty 280gsm Ripstop canvas and a 210D polyoxford fly, it's robust and will keep you warm and dry. You'll sleep well on the 60mm memory foam mattress with removable, washable luxe comfort flannel cover, and the included anti-condensation mat promotes airflow under the mattress to help prevent moisture and mould. OZtrail's Lumos technology makes it easy to light up your tent with flexible LED strip lighting, and when you turn out the lights the two SkyMesh panels provide the perfect view of the stars. Large windows, doors and SkyMesh roof panels make it easy to manage ventilation and temperature to keep you comfortable all year round. This tent is fantastic, the mattress is comfortable and the width is perfect for two people. Tent weight works well on the 150 Prado with little to no body roll when on the move. The hybrid nature of this tent is cool as I can load a solar panel on the bars provided for charging while driving. Lastly, the best feature is the stairs are covered so you can get in and out of the tent in the rain without bringing water back into the tent! Great tent!

The Birdsville 1400 RTT fits the wife and I (5’5 and 5’10) side by side very comfortably, with an easy set up and easy pack down. I highly recommend this RTT for someone looking to sleep two people.
