“For some reason the pump would not inflate past 60 PSI, my tires need 80 PSI. I have had this pump for at least 10 years, so I figured the seals needed replacement. I installed the gasket and pump head, yet the 60 PSI limit still persisted. The issues is not with the tires; my other pump inflated the tires to 80 PSI with no problems. At this point I blame the hose, however the rebuild kit did not include a hose.”

Hello Matthew, Is there leaking air? If there is try testing for its location with some soapy water. Bubbles will form at the leak. This does not seem to be the fault of the 1081K kit though.

“Almost everything in the kit that was needed to make my Park Tool Air Pump like new again. Easily installed quality made exact replacement Park Tool parts. The only thing missing that should have been included was the silicone lubrication grease. I had to drive to the nearest auto parts store to purchase the silicone lube for the O ring and plunger for smooth operation.”
