“LBS likes telling me I'm "almost there" to get me to replace my chain. No more. I know when it's time now as chain wear can vary based on conditions. I've gotten between 2500 to 4000 miles so won't be throwing away miles anymore.”

“It would be cool if one of the ends tapered so you could also see if a single speed chain reached 1% wear”

“It works fine. I was using a 12 inch scale previously that did the same thing but this instrument tells you how much the chain has stretched and when to definitely to change it.”
