Purchased to replace a broken unit. This system works well, and allows thorough chain cleaning without chain removal.

Love it. So Simple to use. I bought a new road bike and well maintenance is key. I have used it twice. Simple to use. I added the chemical and the slimley, gritting chain ring came out sparkling clean. Easy to dispose of the chemical. The clean up in a bucket of soapy water was so easy and letting the sponge and parts air dry.

Disappointed with the quality. Appears cheaply made. Plastic is brittle. After its first use I slid the handle off with care, yet it was enough for the magnet clip to come off along with it. The magnet popped out and broke in half. Seriously? Pro tip to park tool, don’t let your accountant design your products. Customers can only lose. Now getting replacement parts is nearly impossible outside the U.S. Nice. I’m also concerned the main body will leak since the magnet clip goes all the way into the main liquid chamber like a drain plug which by the way we shouldn’t remove. What a design. Is super glue the answer in this case? Tool was brand new, used once.

I have a very old Park chain cleaner and replaced it with this new design. Cleaned two chains (road and mtb) using the supplied Park chain fluid. Issue I had was the loss of many bristles on the cleaning brushes. Although I ended up picking several bristles out of the chain…..it did do pretty good cleaning the dirt and grit off. Not sure if there is a fix for bristles falling out….

Does what it's supposed to do. Way easier than struggling with a rag and a toothbrush for sure. Highly recommend to save yourself a lot of irritation and annoyance. I don't use their proprietary chain cleaning solution ($$$$$); dawn dish soap in some water works fine for me. Only complaint is longevity. I'm on my second one of these now with the first lasting about 3 years with moderate use (a couple times a month during "dirty" seasons, less during the summer). First, the little plastic doohickey that holds the magnet on broke. It holds the magnet via a plastic stick with a bulbous piece at the end that squeezes through a slightly smaller hole; the bulbous bit was what broke. That was ok, because I had someone 3D print me a replacement (templates are even available online). Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, the little skewer that allows the metal clip to swing back and forth broke. That was the last straw, because although you can still use the clip, it's now very difficult to maneuver without spilling everywhere. For $30 that's fine, although I do feel a bit bad about the plastic waste from an environmental perspective. I looked into the professional chain scrubber (CM-25), which is made of aluminum instead of plastic. However, I was concerned by multiple reviews that stated that the foam pads tended to fall out, even if you run the chain through very slowly (which was Park tool's suggestion to resolve the problem). I'm hoping that they'll release an updated version of the professional/aluminum version at some point that doesn't have this issue, in which case I'll probably spring for that instead of replacing my plastic one every few years.

I've bought two of these in the last few years; my biggest complaint is they are not durable. The plastic shell that the securing clip pins are pressed into, that plastic is very thin and fragile. On both cleaners I've purchased, the plastic falls apart, the pins fall out, and then you have to hold the two halves together. The handle needs to be fixed to the shell of the cleaner. When the cleaner is new, it works as intended, it's just not durable, and the pieces, such as the securing clips, magnet, and handle, need to be better fitted/permanently fixed. For the home mechanic that is cleaning chains intermittently, like once or twice a month, this is a pretty good value so long as you are meticulous about cleaning out after every use, as the solvents used do a good job breaking down the plastic.
