“When truing wheels with bladed spokes it is very apparent that the spokes “wind up” or "twist" as you turn the nipples. While not obvious, this certainly must be happening with round spokes as well. This tool works perfectly to prevent that from happening. It is a must for anyone who builds or trues wheels. I have used several brands of spoke holders. I find this one works the best.”

“This is a great tool that is needed for working on DT Swiss straight pull spokes. I rebuild my 350 hybrid setup adding ex511 rims and these pliers came in very handy. No marks left on the spokes with these.”

“These are smaller than the ones I have already, but using them kills my hands. The ones I have are so big, so heavy. I cramp up in minutes and have to take time off to get the cramping to ease a little. I've got two wheels to build, I don't need it to take 2 weeks. OUCH! (Why did I use straight pull hubs) These look lighter and yet capable. Good job Park Tools.”

“I work on Wheels quite a bit and I have always used a Park Tool plastic spoke holder and while buying a couple other tools online from Park I ran across these high buck spoke holding pliers and they are the greatest, faster, easier, more efficient.. They are a Hit.. 1000x better than that plastic piece.. Worth every penny..”
