“This is, simply, a bangin’ good tool. I purchased this tool in 2007, and have been using it ever since. Including when I worked as a wrench in a shop. I’ve only ever replaced the pin once throughout perhaps a hundred uses. Light enough to fit in your pack.”

“Initially, I thought this was a little too small, but the way the chain fastens into it is VERY sturdy...had no problem popping a rivet out of a sram chain.”

“I've owned my CT-5 chain tool for over three years. Used it to size many chains--well over 2 dozen successfully pushed out pins, and because I use Shimano chains on my Shimano drivetrains, approximately 2/3 of the breaks were accompanied by connecting pin insertions. All successful: no prematurely broken guide pin and none of the joined chains has separated under heavy MTB use. The tool's pin is still the original that came with it. With the chain fully inserted in the tool, the tool's pin contacts the chain pin dead center and remains in perfect alignment under force. Other chain tools I've used in the past were nowhere near as durable and accurate as Park Tool's CT-5. It just continues to impress.”
