“I’ve had several of these patches fail after a few months on a hot summer day. They seem to be somewhat of a gamble. Traditional patches with vulcanizing glue really form a bond with the tube. These patches are more like stickers.”

“So I found a package of Park GP-1 tire patches a while back. They had been marinating in my Arizona garage (at temperatures up to 120F) for at least 5 years. Just in the name of science, I used one to patch a flat. Went on perfectly and I've been riding that tire for a couple of weeks now. The wet-type patches would have dried up literally years ago. I hope the newer GP-2 patches are as good!”
