I bought a set for cycling to work in 1995, so that I could repair a puncture fast (I was travelling ultra light! no room for a spare tube). I've carried this little kit in every seat pack from then until I finally used the last patch in early 2022! & it still stuck like......(I've had an amazing puncture free run for years using specialized armadillo & schwalbe marathon tyres) I can't recommend them highly enough, whenever I used one it always stayed put & ended up as a permanent repair. I've bought a new kit today.

Great emergency fix. MUCH easier to carry than old style glue+patch stuff. Like any patch system it is CRITICAL to clean/dry the area, so I also carry small alcohol prep pads in my on-bike 'fix kit'. Then just peel, press firmly centered on the leak, and reinstall your tube as usual. FWIW- I don't consider ANY tube patch (inc. glue/rubber patches) as permanent.

Apparently you shouldn't inflate the tube to test, which makes testing the patch a major undertaking (lightly inflate and submerge in water!?). The majority of the patches I've used have failed in 3-12 months. So this is good for a temporary save when you're out of spares, but don't bank on it staying the distance. Park Tool, please add more language around how to correctly use this patch!

Thanks for your review! We suggest always replacing damaged tubes/tires as soon as possible to prevent accident or injury while riding. Our patches can last a long time, but there are many variables that can affect the performance of the patch. We recommend not testing the patch by inflating tube while outside of mounted tire. This may stretch tube body and weaken patch bond.

Easy to use yes. I followed the instructions but every inner tube I’ve tried to patch ends up bursting the patch once air is introduced. The patch doesn’t seal the hole very well and eventually the pressure is great enough to create an air pocket that eventually grows in size and bursts. Went through an entire kit for 2 inner tubes; 4 on one and 2 on another. My guess is the glue just isn’t strong enough to hold more than a few bar in pressure.

I ride in Brooklyn every day and pretty often there's no avoiding the broken glass on the streets. This product is amazing and saves me money on inner tubes and helps saves the planet by not having to throw away a tube just because of a little prick from glass. I've never had a patch leak even more than a year later!
