“Although well made, the crank and bottom bracket didn’t work for my 1980 Trek 412 bike. The reason: the bracket spacing between the flats was 36mm but the actual distance on my bike was 35mm! You wouldn’t think 1mm difference would be a problem, but it was. Park Tool used to make a 35mm bracket, but no longer. And it is impossible to find any for sale now on the internet. Of course, it was my error. I should have measured the actual distance between the flats to begin with. But if you have the now standard 36mm distance, you’ll do just fine with this well made wrench.”

“It fit but I could not remove my stuck bottom bracket. Instead, I also had the 35mm wrench that connected to my 24” breaker bar. It worked better and quicker.”
