“The clamp is high quality and easy to use and the materials and powder coating are top quality as I expect from Park. My only complaint is about the quick release clamp at the base. It is designed to quickly set up and break down the unit, but it doesn't work so well. No matter how much I tighten by hand, it WILL come loose if I put a hybrid or MTB on there and only holds up light road bikes. I can torque the life out of it with vice grip pliers and then it will stay up, but then it is not a quick and easy set up. As it is, it is an okay stand and I use it all the time, but as long as that clamp is the weak point, it is not a great stand. I use another stand when I need something reliably portable.”

“Beware E-Bike users! While this stand is "rated" for up to 80 lbs., the stand just collapsed under the weight of my 63 lb. E-Bike causing my E-Bike to crash to the ground and the impact ruined my rear derailleur. Prior to buying this bike stand, I noticed a review by a customer who had reported the same problem. I called Park Tool and was told that they were aware of this customer review but they could not "repeat" the collapse of the bike stand in their shop. So, with that assurance, I purchased the stand. After receiving the bike stand, I found that the yoke quick release clamp is the "weak" component and I had a few close calls (stand started to collapse but I was there to catch my E-Bike before it fell to the ground). I determined that the yoke quick release clamp has to be tightened down EXTREMELY tightly - to the point that I struggled to get the clamp to close using both hands - in order to keep the bike stand from collapsing under the weight of my E-Bike. Today, because I couldn't get that clamp to close completely, I loosened the quick release clamp one quarter turn and was able to muster enough strength to close the clamp. But the yoke quick release clamp was unable to hold the weight of my E-Bike, the stand collapsed, and now I have to replace my rear derailleur.”

Hi Craig, sorry to hear about your repair stand. We have had a small amount stands experience this issue, and have a solution for this problem. Current repair stands that we ship should not have this issue.

“Only been used a few times since I received it, but I've been very pleased so far. Stand is very sturdy and clamp works great. The build quality has me thinking this stand will last a very long time. I'm new to biking but do all my own wrenching with my other hobbies. Working on the bike in a stand vs on the ground makes such a big difference. Happy I made the purchase.”

“I used this for the first time to wash my Orbea. Road in wet conditions and it got very dirty. I’m so happy not leaning the bike against the wall anymore and cleaning the cassette and chain was so much easier. I’ve ordered a gravel bike and know I’ll be washing more often. I’ve wanted a bike stand for years, sorry I waited so long in getting a great one like this Park. Highly recommend it for anyone who works on or washes their own bikes.”
