Don't have enough space for a permanent workbench mounting so used the incredible vice grip and a homemade removable stand mount to create a portable "stand on demand" stand. Loaded a couple bikes and performed some minor maintenance...Park stand is awesome and mounting in the Jawhorse's vice grip is simply immovable.

Wish it swiveled at its base. Maybe next time? Fantastic for general maintenance and repairs.

Just retired and setting up a bike maintenance workspace so wanted a great bike clamp but a pro set up wasn't required. I know park tool well, being from StPaul and I bought direct from them online. Shipped on time and well boxed. Mounted to wood top on a Husky (from The HomeDepot) adjustable and movable workbench. Works great for road, beach and trail bikes. Very sturdy and smooth to adjust. Holds my steel Surly BC like it's all carbon. Very pleased with the quality after first 30 days and using it almost daily.

I think I have the original bike stand from Park- it’s grey and the clamp does not have the adjustments like the new ones, but for over 20 years I’ve been using it, and never given me any problems. Decided on the table top mount so I would have more space in work area. It’s a narrow garage I’m working in. Product is very sturdy as I would expect from Park Tools. The only thing I would suggest would be something in the instructions talking about placement on the table top. I got lucky with mine since the clamp was far enough away from the table so the pedals wouldn’t hit when working on the drivetrain.

This rating is only an initial rating, as I have not had it long enough or used it enough to times to rate it in terms of durability. Nonetheless, ParkTool has a reputation to maintain----they make excellent, long lasting tools. This vise is rugged, with a smooth action both on the clamp and the pivot. Clearly more expensive than most all other competitors, nonetheless, unless I'm irresponsible with its use, I expect it to last a lifetime.
