“I have a Park Tool home mechanic pedal wrench and it was completely overmatched by a rusted bike that was abandoned outside for weeks that I was tasked to fix up. That wrench has a flat and wide handle profile that doesn't let it be inserted into a cheater bar (long pipe used to add leverage). I tried until my face turned blue but I couldn't get those pedals to budge! An adjustable wrench kept slipping off the axle and risked rounding the axle flats. I bought this Pro pedal wrench and it's long and round handle easily fit in the 3' extension pipe I have. The angled shape of the jaws made it very easy to get the perfect angle on it. My face still turned a little blue, but I had those pedals off on the very first try! I would advise anyone to skip the home mechanic editions and go straight to the Pro for the peace of mind that you can tackle the hardest situations.”
