Good quality torque wrench. Love that it comes in a plastic case.

I purchased this wrench to apply precise torque to critical components on my touring bike. The dial sets the torque value and there is a definite 'click' feeling when that setting is reached. The wrench is high quality and comes in a nice plastic case for additional protection. Great value for the price.

The adjustment window is great. I have a tendency to over tighten. Only if they would have sent stickers.

Works well once I got the hang of it. It took a bit of getting used to initially to correctly approach the intended torque as the pop off can be a bit subtle. Huge piece of mind correctly torquing fasteners.

A year ago I found out that my 3 year old TW-5.2 had basically stopped working. There was no clicking and very unreliable break action. I found that it was often not breaking at all. Park Tool replied my review to say that the tool should be sent for warranty. However, when I found out that I would have to pay to ship it, I didn't bother and just decided to write off the tool. Well since it basically wasn't useful anymore, I just pulled the ratchet head off to see if I could find anything. At first it seemed like nothing was wrong, but then I dumped out the pivot block and found out that it's rectangular. It seems like the reason my wrench stopped working was that the pivot block was not in the correct orientation. I put the pivot block back in the upright position and it started working reliably. I don't know how the pivot block managed to change orientation given how little I've used the wrench in the years I've owned it. I have no idea if this thing is still in calibration anymore after opening it though.

Thanks for the review Leon. This issue can happen when the wrench gets dialed down below 2nm. People often want to dial them to zero but that can allow the block to flip around.

I bought it initially for working on a new bike. However, first use was adjusting the cleats on a new pair of tri shoes. Worked like a dream and I didn’t have to worry about getting them too tight.
