“The video online is based around a Mazda BT50, for obvious reasons now is that they are probably easiest to fit to demonstrate, the Colorado are not an easy fit by any means. Plus once fitted, unlike the rubber boots on the Mazda, the weather caps cannot be replaced back on with the Colorada design, leaving the light case open to all elements. I have seen videos of others who fold the heat sinks back in other makes of utes, but I probably wouldn't attempt that, as tucking the little ballast in there would cause issues eventually.
The initial idea was to get better low beam, especially for our roads out here, but in the end there is no improvement. All that I got is a white light now instead of the filament orange, with no advantages, so am very disappointed there. High beam is just hi beam anyway, I have spot lights so didn't really matter.
Overall, besides quick delivery, for a Colorado, did't gain a thing, except the frustration of the work that was involved. The misleading information of an easy fit is way off.”
