I bought this to plug my Chevy Volt into a 240 my neighbor had installed to charge his Tesla. There is just not a lot to say. It's sturdy and high quality, plugs in and removes easily from both the car and the outlet. The cord is good and long so you have some latitude in how close you need to park to the outlet. Does exactly what you buy it to do.
(Update) On further thought...a month later, and it is working just fine. I realize that getting charging accessories for your EV can be somewhat nerve-wracking--especially for those of us who support the technology, but are not complete EV nerds, and simply want it to work. I am always nervous that the support equipment I buy is built properly and won't cause damage to, or completely ruin, the car or the charge point. This charger has worked perfectly.”
“Works perfectly, excellent company to deal with
I can strongly recommend Primecom and their offering of vehicle chargers. I ordered the Level-2 EV, 14-50P, 30 feet, 16A and although the charger worked perfectly, the length wasn't exactly what I needed for our unique setup at our house. I contacted the seller, Primecom, and the communication with David was immediate and extremely helpful. He informed me they actually had a different charger altogether that would be perfect for our setup and he would have one shipped out to me that same day. “Beat the others we tried with added features.
I've tried a couple other chargers for our Fiat 500e, they were ok but the build quality just wasn't there and the plug was very hard to remove on one brand compared to the one that came with the vehicle.
Really happy with the charger from Primecom for one, all the others had 24-25' cables, this one comes with a 30' cable and that made a big difference in parking the vehicle in the garage in relation to the outlet.
This charger also has the ability to have it's amperage adjusted "excellent idea". When we need the car charged fast I can have it run at full power and the car charges in about 3.5hrs. But since we have solar I like to balance the amount of power it is pulling in relation to how much our solar system is putting out at mid day. We have a 9.3kWh system so it has plenty of juice but in the winter months it drops down. So with this charger all I have to do is adjust down the power and let it charge without going over our solar output, "I check this with the Solar Edge app".
This charger is also feels sturdier in hand and the plug is not hard to pull out at all, just like our original Fiat charger.
If you are looking for a portable charger I'd look strongly at this one, with the added benefit of being able to adjust the power it uses it makes it that much more versatile.”
“Very frustrated with the device itself because it doesn't support the resolution of my hd camcorder eventhough it says it does. It only supports two resolutions. 1080p and 720p. My camcorder (about 5 or 6yrs old) supports 1080p/480p 1080i/480i and several others but neither is specifically 1080p or 720p. :-(”
