“Not Perfect But Good Customer Support More Than Makes Up For It
I like that you are able to switch from 16 to 30 to 40 amps. The length of 30 feet is also just about perfect for switching between either of our plug-in vehicles inside our garage.
My only gripe is that the connection to the vehicle charging point is too tight. I have to wiggle while pulling/pushing with some force. Sometimes I wonder if I pushed it in all the way. However, when I provided that feedback to the seller, they responded promptly and offered to replace my unit, which they did.”
“Works great with BMW i3
Works great with my 2016 BMW i3. Charges a lot faster that the standard 110v charger that came with the car. BMW app works the same as before. Good build quality, LED lights are helpful to see any errors and current status. make sure you get the plug that fits your specific wall outlet as 220-240v outlets are not all the same - glad to have found the version that fits mine.”
“Great J1772 charger
This charger works great for my Tesla Model 3 (using the J1772 adapter). I purchased the 6-20 NEMA with a 50 foot cord. My car charges at 240v 16a, adding about 14-15 miles per hour.
The 50 foot cord allows me to reach multiple parking spots in my driveway and garage. The cord is much, much longer than the Tesla mobile charger cord. The cord does not get warm during charging — seems to be high quality.
240v 16a isn’t the fastest, but it’s more than enough to get a full charge overnight. I like that the power cord has a twist lock so that I could swap plugs if needed.

I ordered the 30' 14-30P version so I could share my dryer outlet, since I wasn't yet to call an electrician out to add another circuit to my garage.
The company seems to really care about you being happy, and love their approach to offing different lengths of cable by varying the pigtail length.
On the J1772 side it is the standard length to the control box, and the on the 14-30 plug side they have a NEMA L6-30R & P inserted between the 14-30 and the control box, so however long they need to make, they can. I especially like this approach because I have a 14-30 splitter, one connected to my dryer, and one connected to the approx 5' 14-30P>L6-30R, and when I need to use the EVSE, I just connect the L6-30R & P together, and saves me from needing to go behind the dryer and always plugging in the heavier 14-30P.
I've only had it a day, but love this approach, and so glad I can charge faster than my L1.
I haven't found the J1772 connector to bind up or be hard to remove as other reviewers have mentioned, so not sure if this is a newer version, but it connects/disconnects with the same force as any commercial or my stock L1 charger does.
This is a reputable brand, so I'm sure it will last, but have no doubt if I do end up having a problem that Primecom would try to resolve it.”

I opted for this 32 amp over a less expensive 16 amp charger. Very happy with the construction of this cable. I'm running a 50 amp breaker. The digital readout on the Primecon shows it charging around 28 amps. Very pleased, and good quality for the price. 30 foot length is enough to run the length of my garage and up to my car connector, but not much extra. Great value!”

I was skeptical of all the 5 star reviews, but it just works. David, who answered the phone when I called, was also a wealth of information on general questions about charging for a BMW i3. I.e. what type of wire to have installed for the outlet, which type of plug will set you up for the future of EV's, etc...Great product and great customer service. I have never seen the point in the extensive charging stations with wifi, notifications, etc...”
