“Good well designed Level 2 Charger
Seems like a very well built Level 2 charging cord. I just got a plug-in hybrid and the level 1 charger that comes with it is both slow (no surprise) and short. I have a unused "welder" 10-30 220 outlet in the garage and found this Level 2 charger with the included proper plug. I bought the 35 ft, for a few dollars more than the 30 for potential future insurance but it also gives me flexibility in parking the car. The cord is very heavy duty and seems correctly rated for the length and power, but still fits under the garage door. This allow me to charge at top speed, 16A, because the onboard charger is rated for 3.8 kW”
“Nice upgrade to 120v
Was managing 120v charging just fine but it's nice to know I can charge a lot quicker now, when needed. Had an electric range in my garage so it was easy to make this work. Great product so far. I leave it plugged in all the time.”
“Worth every penny!
I purchased a Nissan Leaf recently and researched the charging options plenty. This was a great price on a Level 2 charger and an easy way to install it. We found that our Dryer was close to the driveway behind our house and rather then install an entire new line from the fuse box we ran this instead. Now, we just unplug the dryer when we are not using and plug in the car. We were able to run the line through the same hole the dryer vent is going through in our basement and now I have a level 2 charger. I have a full charge every night now, typically, before I even go to sleep it will be done. This is the best price and works as it should. It is a huge difference over the trickle charger.”
“Really fast charging
Charges Nissan Leaf at 32 Amps in just under 3.5 Hours! This is drastically faster than the 18 hours the level one charges at. It is definitely not worth it to spend the $600-$1000 for the other chargers sold on Amazon or at the dealer. The charging Plug is also different from most of the other EV Chargers on Amazon. This one fits nicely and looks much better!”
“Fast!!!
Went through two other chargers before this one. This one is more expensive than. Lot of other non wall mount models. But it is worth it! The charge is fast, if your house can handle the full 32 amps it will charge quick. I use it on my bmw i3 with the 33kw battery, charges from 20 % to 100 in about four hours”

Adding a fast charger (240V) seems to be a huge part of hybrid vehicles, and the faster you can charge the better. In my case I went from getting about 700 miles per tank (120V charge) to over 1300 miles per tank (240V). Charging in two hours or less typically means I leave my house on a full charge. And as most of my runs into town are 25 miles or less there isn't any gas used. I just filled up after 21 days and had 1360 miles on the odometer, and the fill-up was 10.3 gallons.
Before this charger I would only have a full charge once per day because it typically took over 6 hours.
Installation is easy, add a 240V circuit breaker and a plug and you're set.”
“Nice unit with 2 hidden jems
I was going to purchase this unit and an adapter to work in a NEMA 14-50 connector so I would have option to charge at RV parks and hotels with RV outlets across the country. When the unit arrived, I found that the NEMA 6-50P connector is a removable adapter that becomes a NEMA 14-50 connector when removed. The other surprise is that there is a black rain cover included for the connection to keep rain out after disconnecting. So, this unit is compatible with thousands of non-tesla chargers across the country.”
