Qiara Infant Drops - 7.5mL Reviews

3.7 Rating 30 Reviews
I loved the product before they changed the dropper. Now all the orange stuff gets stuck in the top and I can't get it out. I use to be able to drop it straight into my son's mouth. Now I have to spend 10 minutes trying to get it out onto a spoon. I wish they never changed the dropper.

Hi Emma, we're so sorry you've had this experience. Maintaining our standards of being the most natural Infant Probiotic Drops on the market, we recently identified some customers were having issues with dispensing Qiara Infant Drops. Given our unrelenting drive for unparalleled customer care, we have decided to temporarily discontinue Qiara Infant Drops at this time as customer experience is super important to us. Qiara Infant Sachets are still available and an excellent alternative, being fully evidence-based, providing the same dosage as the drops, and delivering identical benefits in individually sealed sachets. Thank you being our customer and for your understanding and continued support of Qiara and our Australian-made products.

I have used Qiara infant drops since my baby girl was a newborn to help her reflux and found it improved her digestion. Now it’s part of our daily routine after learning how lactobacillus fermentum is proven to boost a baby’s immune system and reduce gastrointestinal and upper respiratory infections - I wish more parents knew this! I’d highly recommend Qiara for parents researching the ideal probiotic drops for their baby. I would say a baby’s health can only benefit from a probiotic derived from breastmilk that’s backed by evidence.

My newborn vomits a lot on this probiotic. Not just a little vomit, but a full on throw up of all the milk she just had.

Hi Monica, we'd love to get in touch with you to learn more about your experience with Qiara Infant Drops and have our pharmacist talk to you. I note that you also left a review about Qiara Pregnancy & Breastfeeding so wondering if you are taking Qiara yourself and giving drops to your baby as well? We always recommend if a mum is exclusively breastfeeding that she takes Qiara Pregnancy & Breastfeeding herself as bub will benefit at every feed and direct dosing bub in this instance is in most instances not required in addition. We will be in touch. Helen (CEO)

My 8 month old daughter suffers from moderate to severe eczema and we decided to trial a course of probiotics as part of her overall management. I found several research papers supporting the use of single strain probiotics, particularly Lactobacillus fermentum, in reducing the severity and frequency of eczema flare up’s in infants. However, aside from from Qiara, I couldn’t find any other Australian made products containing a high enough CFU and single strain bacteria as recommended in the literature. I’m not sure if it’s too soon to say for sure, but since starting the infant probiotic a few weeks ago, my daughter’s eczema flare up has completely resolved. She is also opening her bowels more frequently and seems very settled in general. I know this product isn’t marketed for eczema but I’m surprised at the significant difference it has made in such a short space of time. Highly recommend to those looking for a high quality probiotic to combat eczema. Also recommend reading this study for those wanting to dig a little deeper: Effects of probiotics on atopic dermatitis: a randomised controlled trial. I purchased this for my then 2 month old as he was on antibiotics from Day 0, and is mixed formula & breast fed. After using it for a couple of weeks, we then stopped using it for a few weeks. When we went to open it again, we found that the liquid crystallised in the bottle and dropper to the point where we were unable to extract any out. There was at least 80% left in the bottle. We ended up throwing out the rest of it. Incredibly disappointed and complete waste of money. :(
