For an authentic vintage look, install or refurbish your rim locks using polished brass mortice knobs.The perfect complement for your antique rim locks are these brass mortice knobs from Australian manufacturer, Tradco Hardware. They are made of quality sheet brass, polished and lacquered and feature a milled edge adding detail and texture.Part of our Brass Mortice Knob Range, one of these knobs attaches to the rim lock to create a handle for opening the door. The backplate is detachable so it will sit flush against the surface of the rim lock. It screws to the other door knob on the reverse side of the door with the threaded spindle.You can also install them with tubular latches. Each brass mortice knob is supplied with brass wood screws which will enable you to secure them directly to the timber door.To achieve the smoothest turning of your mortice knob, line each door handle as closely as possible on either side of the door. For door knobs, we recommend using a 60mm backset latch to allow for enough space to turn the handle comfortably.
