“These handles look brilliant when they first arrived and were installed, however despite being installed out of the weather in an undercover location, both handles I ordered are now showing a considerable amount of oxidation/ rusting on the external side of the door after a few months which is very disappointing.”
“I bought 7 of these handle sets for my renovation, unfortunately the spring within each handle snaps after a matter of months requiring a lengthy back and forth email process with Tradco to get replacement springs. Each handle has two springs so that's 14 replacement springs I'm dealing with. Tradco literally sent me a box of springs and told me that they will keep sending them until the warranty runs out (9 years to go!) After that I'm up s**t creek looking for my own springs.
Restoration Online have gone above and beyond trying to help me with this issue and cannot be faulted for their customer service (Thank you for all your hard work Rachael) and managed to get Tradco to send me the replacement springs and a replacement lock set (a whole other story).
If you do not want to spend your weekends replacing springs do not buy.”
“All the handles were scratched to a greater or lesser extent. I contacted Zander and they replaced them. It was extremely difficult to remove the roses on the privacy sets as they were over-tightened. using tools to achieve this would inevitably cause scratches. In addition, the privacy sets have a plastic washer beneath the rose and on one of these sets that washer was broken. I have sought/requested a replacement washer from Zanda, without success. They promised to replace but they did not. Once the washer is broken the rose won't stay on the handle. Not impressed. Wouldnt but Zanda products again.”
“I like the gold waste, looks great, but the central bolt was nowhere near long enough so the plumber had to replace it with chrome which is all he could find in the right length. Doesn't look perfect.”
“Looks nice, and works well until it doesn't. The fatal flaw with this product is that the switch is connected to the base with a verrrrrryy thin piece of plastic set inside the switch. Inevitably, this piece of plastic will break. At the moment I have two of these switches that are broken in my house, and I have replaced two others previously. Why am I still using these switches? I don't know. I need an alternative. Anyway, don't buy these. You guys should stop selling them. They are terrible.”
